Scientific researcher speciailzed in the development of agricultural and environmental solutions based on the Information Technologies and Communication (ITC). His current line of research is focused on supervision and automated irrigation control by integration of soil moiture sensor data with crop and water requirement simulations. He is the Director of the Efficient Use of Water in Agriculture program at IRTA and AgriprecDSS.

Scientific researcher with more than 30 years experience working on irrigation management. His main research is focused on the study of plant-water relations and to the determine  crop water requirements in deficit conditions, seasonal responses to water stress and the use of crop models.

Ph.D. Agricultural Engineer from the University of Córdoba (Spain) (2016). He is a cientific researcher at the Efficient Use of Water in Agriculture program in IRTA (Lleida, Spain). He worked in the Department of Agronomy at IAS-CSIC (Cordoba, Spain) from 2013 to 2015 and at the University of Cordoba also in the Department of Agronomy from 2016 to 2017.His main research interests are the modeling of transpiration and assimilation of tree crops under water stress conditions and the analysis of management and breeding solutions to face water shortage scenarios. Dr. García-Tejera, has been involved in several national and international research projects related to irrigation management and crop modeling.

She is currently doing her PhD thesis on the study of key physiological processes of Chardonnay grapevine. She is a modeler and uses phenological and physiological models to determine vine phenological stages and water requirements in front of a changing climate.

He is currently doing his PhD thesis on the use of artificial intelligence algorithms for  scheduling drip irrigation automatically. He is also modeling soil water fluxes using the software Hydrus.

He is a technician at IRTA since 2007 and has been involved in different projects related with irrigation management. He is specialist on the instalation of soil water moisture sensors, water meters, physiological measurements and on the use of neutron probe. In addition, he has a long experience on planning and developing electrical instalations in order to set-up and monitor irrigation experimental studies.

He has worked on instrumentation and monitoring parameters of environmental biophysics and the study of water relations in the continuum soil-plant-atmosphere. He is currently conducting the doctoral thesis in how a phenological displacement caused by pruning and fruit thinning management alters the water balance and carbon dynamics in grapevine.

He is a forest engineer with a Msc in remote sensing and GIS, actually working in projects related with processing satellite and airborne images for evapotranspiration modeling.

Forest engineer and Msc. in Soil and Water Management

Forest engineer and Master of “Soil and Water Management” at the University of Lleida, UB, UAB and UPNA. Experience in irrigation and fertilization monitoring as well as environmental parameters. Currently hired by IRTA as a support technician for remote sensing in image processing, agronomic interpretation and cooperating in the irrigation decision making. Most of the work is linked to LISA (Low Input Sustainable Agriculture) project.
